How to Trade Maternity/Nursing Clothes

Here are some FAQ:

When do you accept trades? 

At this point, bring in your items any time during open shop hours. No appointment necessary! We can typically process your items while you shop. If we are busy with other shoppers or consignors, we will have to look at your items later on. We will get back to you by the next business day!

What should I do to prep my items?

Take a good look at each piece and consider if your friend would love it and wear it. Is it stained? Faded? Stretched out? Does it have excessive pilling? Wrinkles? Odors? Pet hair? If so, give it a good wash and look at again. If that doesn't fix it, please don't bring them in. We will most likely pass on these items. 

Please have them nicely folded in paper grocery sacks (we reuse them!) or in a labeled bin. There is not maximum at this point.

What items are you looking for?

We love just about any maternity/nursing items that are in excellent condition and aren't dated in style (ie nothing other than 3-5 years please). We tend to buy during that current season, though like to have seasonal stock on hand before the weather officially changes. We are a bit pickier with sizes XS-S as they aren't our biggest seller. We also don't love generic Amazon brands or similar (ie Shein, etc) though will consider them based on need. Brands we accept: Old Navy, Target, H&M, Gap, Blanqi, Kindred Bravely, Cake, Seraphine, Motherhood Maternity, A Pea in the Pod, Hello Miz, Ingrid & Isabel to name a few.

Do I get cash or shop credit for my trade and when do I get it?

For our maternity and nursing items, we 'buy outright' which means we make you a cash or shop credit offer right then, no need to wait until the item sells. Percentages are approximately 25% of resale value cash (paid out via Venmo) or 40% shop credit. These percentages do fluctuate depending on condition, brands, need, or other factors. 

If I don't want the unwanted items back, can I leave them there? What do you do with it?

Yes! With the items that we don't accept, we either add them to our quarterly $5 Sale and/or completely donate them. We have partner with the Multicultural Child and Family Hope Center in Tacoma, WA. Learn more about them HERE.
